Front of House Staff (Sommelier)

Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement Pro: You're not just serving guests-you're elevating their dining experience by guiding them through our food and beverage offerings.
• Wine Guide & Pairing Expert: Share your passion and knowledge of wine by making thoughtful suggestions, suggesting pairings, and helping guests discover new favourites.
• Order Whisperer: Take and process orders with precision, turning guest requests into culinary delights while managing any special requests with ease.
• Multi-Tasking Marvel: Juggle tasks like a pro-whether it's ensuring proper wine service, handling payments, or assisting with special requests, you'll keep everything running smoothly.
• Opening & Closing Pro: Whether it's setting up at the start of the shift or breaking the service floor down at the end, you'll make sure everything is prepped, clean, and ready to roll for the next round of service!
• Inventory Steward: Assist with wine storage, inventory counts, and maintaining the presentation and organisation of the wine cellar to ensure everything is service-ready.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of restaurant experience in a high-volume environment
• Minimum WSET Level 2 or equivalent
• Possess strong knowledge and passion for wine
• Demonstrated ability to drive beverage sales through engaging guest interactions and expert wine recommendations
• Excellent communication and hospitality skills
• Warm personality and a natural ability to interact with people and create an upbeat, fun atmosphere
