Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize payroll platforms, including configuration, workflows, security permissions, audits, reporting, and integrations.

  • Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of payroll operations experience, including multi-state U.S. payroll processing.
  • 3+ years of payroll systems administration and management experience.
  • 3+ years of global payroll experience supporting multiple countries and regions.
  • Experience administering payroll platforms such as Paycom, Rippling, ADP, UKG, or similar solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing payroll audits, reporting, controls, and process documentation.
  • Experience partnering with HR, Finance, Benefits, and Legal stakeholders.
  • Strong systems troubleshooting, configuration, and process improvement skills.
  • Experience working within a consulting, professional services, or client-facing environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • 10+ years of payroll experience.
  • Experience with Paycom, Rippling, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience supporting payroll operations for a global workforce.
  • Experience leading payroll system implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
  • Experience managing payroll vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Experience mentoring payroll specialists, analysts, or coordinators.

This role will serve as the subject matter expert for payroll systems and processes, partnering across HR, Finance, Benefits, and Legal to drive operational excellence, enhance employee experience, and support global payroll initiatives. Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates located in DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth) or Houston, Texas are preferred.
