Building & Corp Services Technician

Requirements

• Experience in building construction would be beneficial
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, as required
• Demonstrated ability to be exceptional at learning
• Strong comfort level with accountability and delivering results
• Basic IT skills including the ability to use excel and outlook
• To occasionally be available for call outs, emergencies and after hours work

The Technician I Facilities will be a hands-on role supporting the Company on building maintenance, moving, construction, meeting preparations, and other ad hoc activities. The successful incumbent will be both a mechanically inclined, hands-on doer, as well as an excellent communicator. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Oversee the work of vendors and service providers as needed. - Routinely drive between multiple Company locations and vendors to deliver materials and supplies and conduct maintenance. - Act as the central point of contact for any building maintenance inquiries, including, but not limited to: Renovations, Office Furniture (repair, construction, and replacement) - Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance - Leverage experience to thoughtfully recommend facilities solutions and approaches that add value for the Company. - Create and maintain strong relationships with Human Resources, Safety and Security, and other teams. Required Qualifications: - At least 1 year of experience with hands-on mechanical, construction, or technical work in a building maintenance setting - At least 1 year of experience and a sound knowledge of building skills, including HVAC, plumbing, painting, drywall, and general building repair - Will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools - High School Diploma - Safe driving record in order to maintain the ability to be insured by the Company's insurance. - Ability and desire to perform maintenance work - Ability to lift 50 pounds on an irregular basis - Demonstrated ability to establish strong customer relationships and effectively communicate - Excellent communication skills to submit ideas, proposals, and decisions (in writing and orally) in a professional and pleasant manner.
