Additional Information
The Division of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a board-certified/eligible radiologist who has successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship/residency program and is eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin. The emphasis of this position will be to provide care and develop the IR practice at two community hospitals in the Froedtert System. We are dedicated to the principles of equity and diversity and particularly encourage those of diverse backgrounds to apply. Our ideal candidate will have: Desire to excel and collaborate with a talented team of Interventional Radiologists who choose to practice, learn, and innovate together. Passion for providing high-quality patient care with proficiency in clinical IR. Interest in actively participating in scholarly activities which could include education, quality, and/or research. Team: The Vascular & Interventional Radiology Division includes 11 fellowship-trained faculty and a team of Advanced Practice Providers. The Division covers IR services at multiple sites within the health system: Froedtert Hospital (main campus), Froedtert Hospital Menomonee Falls, Froedtert Hospital West Bend, the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, and the FORME Aesthetic and Vein Center. We perform the full-scope of diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures except for cardiac and neuro-interventions. Our training program attracts some of the top talent in our field, offering all pathways for those trainees interested in IR (Integrated and Independent IR Residency programs, as well as the ESIR pathway). Our practice has many unique qualities, not the least of which is its relationship with the Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, which allows for the collegial combined medical and procedural care of patients with vascular disease. We have two hybrid operating rooms that allow us to perform combined vascular surgery/interventional radiology procedures, such as endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, in an operating room setting while maintaining high-quality imaging. Additionally, our division is also fully integrated with the other subspecialties within our institution, including Orthopedics, Urology, and GI/Hepatology. We have developed a very active interventional oncology service providing primary patient-centered care in our Comprehensive Clinical Cancer Center. As well have strong vascular and musculoskeletal programs, performing the full spectrum of vascular and MSK procedures. The Division has a robust portfolio of clinical research trials that we participate in, representing all aspects of our clinical practice. The Department of Radiology is recognized as a progressive and forward-thinking team that continues to expand with a dynamic multi-site hospital and clinic network in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Collaboration is the foundation for how we work within our division, our department, and with others across the organization. Our Radiology team includes 122 clinical faculty radiologists, 12 imaging science faculty, 12 instructor/fellows, 41 residents, 20 advanced practice providers, and 64 support staff.
