About the role
We're excited to hire our first Technical Talent Partner (Recruiter) to own R&D (engineering, product, research) hiring (and other roles as needed) as we scale. This is a hands-on, full life cycle sourcing-heavy role and requires a knack for souring passive candidates in competitive, specialized markets including cybersecurity researchers, exploit developers, software engineers, and AI/ML engineers. You will be a trusted advisor and business partner working closely with hiring managers across UK and US teams, while holding a high bar across candidate quality and experience. This is a UK-based remote role, with a preference for candidates based in or near Cheltenham (with ability to attend events in the region). This role reports to the Director of Talent and sits at the intersection of hands-on recruiting execution and people partnership.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical teams (Engineering, Product, Research, IT) roles - from kickoff through offer close and pre-onboarding
- Drive proactive, multi-channel sourcing strategies to build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles including Senior Software Engineers, Exploit Developers, and AI/ML Engineers
- Manage candidate experience end-to-end: scheduling, communication, debrief facilitation, offer negotiation, and pre-start coordination
- Partner with hiring managers to define roles, interview structure, set expectations, and move quickly without sacrificing bar
- Maintain clean pipeline data and provide regular updates on role status and market feedback
- Assist with compensation conversations, leveling calibrations, and role definition as the teams grow
- Support onboarding for new hires on your teams to ensure a strong start
- Partner with the Director of Talent on people programs and ad hoc HR operational needs
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
- Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving startup (Series A - C) where you'll own your work without a lot of hand-holding
- Demonstrated experience recruiting in cybersecurity - you understand the talent landscape, the titles, and what makes a strong candidate in this space
- A proactive sourcer who doesn't wait for inbound - you know how to find people who aren't looking
- Strong stakeholder instincts; hiring managers trust your perspective and you push when the process is off or bar is lowered
- Strong candidate management and communication skills; candidates should feel well-cared-for even when the answer is no
- Experience with Greenhouse ATS
- Experience recruiting machine learning or AI roles, exploit developers, vulnerability researchers, or offensive security practitioners
- Some exposure to HR generalist or HRBP work - you don't need to be an expert, but you're not starting from zero
- Familiarity with global hiring across US, UK, and APAC
