About the role

We are hiring a Software Engineer to aid the design, build and maintenance of our market data environment and associated analytics. This hands-on position will attract those who are interested in working with complex architectures and are keen to apply their problem-solving skills in a practical setting. Responsibilities

  • Develop, support and productionise data and analytics which are integral to TradingHub's products
  • Enhance your understanding of financial markets and how market data is used within our key products
  • Contribute to new tools development for the purposes of data lineage, governance and reporting
  • Research of data storage techniques and processing for large data sets
  • Utilise our in-house big data language for large-scale modelling and analysis
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to solve and understand critical production issues

Requirements

  • Industry software engineering experience, preferably within financial services
  • Proficient with C#, Python, Java or similar
  • Good knowledge of database design and data structures
  • Proficiency with SQL-related technologies
  • Knowledge of AWS such as ECS, S3, DynamoDB is desirable
  • Evidence of exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and keen to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Proactive and curious mindset, with accountability as a core personal value
