We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director for our Ports & Maritime team with strong Defence experience to join our team in Australia. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in maritime infrastructure projects across the region. How you'll make a difference: Lead and deliver large-scale, technically complex ports and maritime infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. Leverage your extensive Defence experience to help win and delivery large scale maritime programs. Growing and coaching a cohort of passionate maritime professionals Provide strategic technical direction and leadership across project lifecycles, mentoring engineers at all levels to support capability development and succession planning. Ensure rigorous compliance with local and international maritime codes and standards, while proactively managing risk and safety considerations. Build and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-impact engineering solutions. Champion innovation in project delivery, drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes, and represent the company as a thought leader through industry publications, conference presentations, and professional forums. The qualities that help you thrive: Extensive experience in the Defence maritime sector managing and designing large scale maritime infrastructure programs. Proven project management and design experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Track record of technical expertise delivering high quality Ports and Maritime projects. Proven experience pursuing and winning maritime infrastructure projects leveraging a depth of experience and collaboration across multidisciplinary global teams. Hold or eligible to hold an Australia baseline security clearance.
