About the role
The Automation Engineer acts as a subject matter expert in one or more specialties, widely applying technical principles, theories, and concepts to support cross-functional projects and operational goals. Responsibilities
- This is a professional, permanent on-site role located at our facility. The core responsibilities include:
- Propose, design, prioritize, conduct, and oversee technical experiments and automation projects for the site.
- Develop new test methods, design statistical sets of experiments, and oversee operational controls within your area of technical expertise.
- Generate new ideas for processes and technical solutions to drive continuous improvements in growth, cost reduction, yield, product quality, and capacity.
- Document project plans, determine timelines and required resources, and present findings and technical recommendations to cross-functional leaders.
- Teach, coach, and train other team members in given areas of expertise while remaining current on emerging technologies, applications, and industry patents.
- Required
- Proven experience in a technical specialization, process engineering, controls engineering, or project engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, PLC and SCADA systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Strong technical background with deep knowledge of automation, technical principles, and engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated tracking of data findings, technical proof of concepts, and writing structured technical plans or reports.
