About the role
You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer/ Architect in the Planning, Design and Construction Directorate (PDC) of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You MUST provide a copy of your current license/registration with your application. In addition to the SPF and basic requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Managing overall requirements in developing scoping estimates, designs/RFPs, project management, administering A&E and construction contracts; 2) Developing annual resource/budget allocation requirements and monitoring use of assigned resources including reimbursable project dollars; 3) Developing independent government estimates, annual resource/budget allocation requirements for construction; 4) Applying knowledge of the federal government contract process, Architect/Engineering slate, selection, contract award, construction contract selection, and claims boards; 5) Leading high-level meetings concerning project status and controversial matters; and 6) Communicating, both orally and in writing, at a high level.
