About the role

Provide managerial direction and leadership for all raw material inventory procurement (Direct) for the plant, acting as a liaison with Global Procurement. Develop strategies to ensure a reliable supply and maximize potential savings within Supply Chain categories. Team Leadership and Development: Guide, coach, and mentor the procurement team to adopt industry best practices. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence. Provide Feedback and Communication: Deliver clear and timely feedback to the procurement team to address challenges. Encourage open communication to enhance teamwork and operational success. Supplier Management: Conduct detailed analysis, selection, and evaluation of suppliers. Build and maintain a reliable, cost-effective supplier base. Drive Supply Chain Improvements: Lead initiatives to enhance supply reliability and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential supply risks and develop contingency plans. Ensure business continuity through proactive risk management. Collaboration with Global Procurement: Act as a key liaison with Global Procurement teams to ensure alignment of strategies. Leverage synergies for cost savings and operational efficiency. Oversee Advanced Projects: Manage complex supply chain projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide strategic oversight to drive successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in raw material and/or MRO procurement management within the medical device sector.
  • At least 10 years of experience leading Procurement, Purchasing and/or Planning teams.
  • Proven experience in: Supplier selection, evaluation, and management (national and international). Contract management and procurement formulation. Price negotiations and supply agreements. Transportation, import/export operations, and customs clearance. Cost reduction projects and initiatives.
  • Managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking and a sense of urgency. Advanced negotiation and persuasion abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Research, analytical, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
  • Qualifications & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, or International Business.
  • Certifications: Professional certification in CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or CPSD.
  • Fluent English level
