Benefits

The base hourly rate for this position is $30.49.Our Johns Manville plant in Jacksonville, FL manufactures polyisocyanurate foam insulation panels for use in roofing systems. We produce foam panels as well as specialty items such as tapered, vented, composite, nail board and sheathing products.Pay: $30.49Schedule Shift/Hours: 1st Shift - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, w/Saturday work as neededPosition OverviewThe job responsibilities for a Warehouse Utility Operator include but are not limited to the following:SAP knowledge - receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products as needed.Understands production flows/schedules, customer demand/sales volume flows, supply and demand concepts to determine stocked items to be managed.Self-starter - work with minimal supervisionAdhere to all plant safety and environmental policies.Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.Receive and unload raw materials as neededUnload chemicals from railcars and tanker trucks.Verify paperwork and COA prior to receiving raw materials.Follow working standards and ensure accuracy of the unloading process.Operate forklift to unload and transport raw & packReceive raw materials into SAP and properly account for the paperwork.Verify bill of lading / picklist against actual quantity received.Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts and identify root causes of any inventory variances. Including month end raw & pack countsInspect mobile equipment and complete the appropriate safety checklistAssist production team with raw materials movement and stagingCommunicate inventory status and support the process to replenish raw materials with service coordinatorCoordinate switches with the railroad to ensure proper placement of the railcars.Manages the unloading of railcars to avoid/minimize demurrage charges and accidental release.Support the reporting and corrective actions associated with supplier quality issues.Manage collection and return of plant recyclable streams.There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position.Requirements - (education, skills, and abilities)HS Diploma or GEDHave general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal).Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional team player.Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.Physical RequirementsThe physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)The ability to stand for extended periodsThe ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environmentThe ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.The ability to reach or work above the shoulderIncumbents must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
