About the role
As the Sales Engineer - APAC, you'll be at the forefront of digital innovation in one of the most dynamic regions for hospitality growth. You will work across all phases of the sales cycle - from discovery and qualification through solution design, proposal development, and handover to implementation.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Engagement
- Partner with Sales Directors to understand client business needs, use cases, and key decision drivers.
- Conduct detailed discovery sessions with customers and stakeholders to map out solution fit.
- Design and articulate comprehensive technical solutions using the full Agilysys suite, with a focus on hotel PMS, Spa & Golf.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed, technically sound submissions that meet customer requirements.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOW), architectural diagrams, integration plans, and supporting documentation.
- Product Demonstration & Technical Consultation
- Deliver tailored, high-impact product demonstrations (both virtual and onsite) to decision-makers at all levels - from IT and operations to C-suite executives.
- Maintain a full working demonstration environment including the latest Agilysys releases and configurations.
- Educate customers on the value proposition of Agilysys solutions, focusing on ROI, scalability, and guest experience enhancement.
- Industry Expertise & Solution Evangelism
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and partners on hospitality technology trends and digital transformation.
- Represent Agilysys at industry events, conferences, webinars, and trade shows.
- Provide market feedback to Product and R&D teams, helping shape the product roadmap based on APAC customer needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams across Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, and Support to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with delivery capabilities.
- Support handoff to the implementation team post-deal close, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and alignment.

- Requirements for success:
- Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or Hotel Management, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a Sales Engineering, Solution Consultant, or Solution Architect role in enterprise software, ideally in hospitality or adjacent industries.
- Prior experience working with boutique, large and/or multi-property hotel brands across APAC.
- Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong working knowledge of hotel systems including PMS, POS, I&P, Spa, Loyalty, and payment gateways.
- Understanding of enterprise software concepts such as APIs, relational databases, networking, security, and SaaS/cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with hospitality integrations (e.g., CRS, OTA, third-party systems) and standard data exchange protocols.
