Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Maintenance Worker ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties such as washing and scrubbing bathroom floors, washing windows, walls and ceilings. I have experience in painting and a general knowledge and understanding of custodial tasks. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort. The work of subject position requires extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping. The incumbent occasionally climbs ladders or uses lift devices to perform high cleaning and maintenance operations. Frequently lifts heavy objects, including items up to 100 pounds. Working conditions. The incumbent is exposed to hazards of moving parts and sharp blades when working with power tools and exposed belts. The incumbent is exposed daily to harsh cleaning solutions and chemicals; wear of protective equipment and clothing is required.
