About the role
As a Team Lead Business Development People & Learning , you will play a pivotal role in shaping Westwing's people agenda and driving organisational effectiveness. Operating directly within the CPO Office, you will act as a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer to lead a broad portfolio of business-critical initiatives concerning our workforce, leadership, and culture. You will lead a talented team of 5-7 across both the Business Development People and Learning & Development functions . This position is based in Munich and limited to 1 year (maternity cover). Partner closely with the CPO, CEO, and other Executive team members to define Westwing's corporate people strategy and translate business priorities into long-term organisational goals Design and implement modern workplace concepts, collaboration models, and initiatives that directly enhance the day-to-day employee experience Lead and develop the Business Development People and Learning & Development teams, building scalable organisational capabilities and leadership programmes Own the execution of a broad portfolio of operational, high-visibility, and sensitive projects, managing stakeholder alignment across diverse functions and countries Prepare executive-level analyses, decision papers, and recommendations for the Executive Team and Supervisory Board, whilst shaping core internal and leadership communications Identify opportunities to leverage data, technology, and AI to optimise organisational performance and build robust governance structures to support continued growth 5+ years of experience in top-tier consulting, strategy, corporate development, or a comparable strategic role, with a genuine interest in People & Culture topics A proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguity, think strategically, and maintain a hands-on execution mindset Experience leading complex, high-stakes projects from concept to impact, ideally with a focus on organisational transformation, change management, or AI-driven initiatives Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at all levels and prepare materials for executive leadership and governance bodies A high degree of ownership, resilience, and adaptability, alongside fluency in both English and German If you are looking for a place where ambition meets creativity, where ideas turn into impact fast, and where people are trusted to grow - you have found it.
