Management and Program Analyst

About the role

This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for providing integration of complex staff actions and security functions and services to facilitate effective management across the Directorate and subordinate divisions and offices, and multiple general officer SES organizations within the J8 and an organization of 300 personnel. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service: Expert knowledge of overarching and governing regulatory guidance not limited to but including CJCSI 5711.01E and JS Guide 5711. Developing security prorgrams to ensure compliance with physical, personnel, and information assurance/security regulations, and industrial security. Knowledge of Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Insider Threat and Operational Security (OPSEC) to implement and monitor physical security and oversee the Top Secret security management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
