Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability
  • Mechanical and electrical/electronic proficiency
  • Basic soldering skills (bonus)
  • Ability to travel frequently and occasionally on short notice
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers' locations
  • At least two years of hands‑on technical work experience
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
  • Associate's, Bachelor's, or higher in a technical field

Polymer Testing Instruments is looking for a talented calibration technician to join its growing team in Fletcher, NC! This is a full-time role offering competitive pay and great benefits. Join a hands‑on technical role supporting precision instruments used in the rubber and plastics industry. As a Field Calibration Technician, you'll service, calibrate, and repair a variety of lab and production equipment while working closely with customers and a supportive technical team. Location: On-site at our office in Fletcher, NC and surrounding areas at various customer sites.
