About the Position: Serves as an Engineering Technician working under the general supervision of the Chief of Engineering Services for the Directorate of Public Works, Carlisle Barracks, PA. Works as a member of a project delivery team in the development of maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of real property assets on the installation. Performs computer-aided design drafting (CADD) work involved in maintenance and repair projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Documenting quality assurance inspections for facility maintenance and construction projects; 2) Conducting site investigation to verify work meets required specifications; and/or 3) Preparing drawings for projects using computer applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). There is no substitution of education for experience.
