System Developer

About the role

As a System Developer at UMC, you will join an agile DevOps team responsible for building, improving, and operating digital solutions used in a complex international context. We are looking for a full-stack system developer with experience in modern development practices and an interest in working across the full application lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will work in a collaborative, inclusive environment where learning, quality, and shared ownership are central. The role offers opportunities to solve complex problems, influence technical direction, support team growth, and explore new ways of working, including AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and contribute to the product roadmap
• Design, implement, test, and maintain software solutions
• Participate in release, deployment, and operational activities
• Optimise and improve both new and existing applications
• Share knowledge and support continuous improvement across the team
• Continuously learn through new challenges and projects

Requirements

• A team-oriented developer who values collaboration and strong team dynamics
• Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experienced in system development and DevOps practices
• Focused on quality and solution-oriented problem-solving
• Familiar with cloud technologies and cloud-native approaches
• Curious and open to new tools and ways of working

• Experienced in data science and machine learning
• Interested in training, testing, and integrating machine learning models
