IT Specialist (sysanalysis)

About the role

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent serves as the primary systems analyst, directing the development and maintenance of the organization's technology, to include coordinating efforts in software development, Web development, network operations, and online learning support. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Performing analyses to define solutions for new or improved business processes; Preparing business cases for the application of IT solutions for the organization; Developing cost estimates for new or modified systems; and Preparing long-range forecasts of developments and recommendations which may be of interest and value to the organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
