Responsibilities

  • Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with game designers to create an audio experience that compliments the online gameplay trailers, BlizzCon media, prerendered cinematics, in-game and real time cutscenes.
  • This person must have an outstanding ability to not only create excellent, original content, but to successfully utilize ProTools and various mixing, mastering, and design plug-ins.
  • This is a 12-month temporary position.
  • Minimum Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in re-recording mixing and sound design for linear media in the film, games, trailers, or advertising fields.
  • Experience designing and editing sound-to-picture.
  • Experience with mixing in stereo and multichannel audio.
  • Knowledge & Skills
  • Proven people skills and a unique artistic "voice" in terms of communicating and furthering a storyline via the medium of sound.
  • Ability to forge and maintain positive client relationships as well as communicate effectively with a wide range of clients, Directors, Editors, contractors, Producers, and Supervisors.
  • Thorough working knowledge of ProTools for audio post-production and mixing.
  • Working knowledge of various video codecs and frame rates and their specific uses.
  • Knowledge of signal flow, microphones, voice/Foley/field recording.
  • Key Attributes
  • Able to work with equal effectiveness with a high degree of self-motivation, both solo and as part of a project team, and able to execute under tight deadlines.
  • Extra Points
  • Experience mixing in Atmos using the Dolby Atmos renderer.
  • Experience developing games that use Wwise.
  • Mixing on an Avid S6.
  • Experience with live recording sessions both in the studio and in the field.
  • Game audio design and/or mixing credits.
  • Experience with Evercast, ClearView, or other high-quality remote collaboration tools.
