Fire & Life Safety Engineer/Consultant-Hospitality Sector

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and coordinate technical workload of hospitality projects implementing a variety of Fire & Life Safety consulting projects across Southeast Asia.
• Willing to travel extensively mainly across Southeast Asia but potentially also other regions to support hospitality meetings, workshops, and inspections.
• Attend client project & design meetings managing project expectations completing assigned tasks on schedule and within budget as the sole representative of Jensen Hughes in Southeast Asia.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations according to the well established procedure you will be introduced to.
• Work in team, in a well-structured organisation and progressively carry out design reviews with increased autonomy.
• Participate in various levels of business development, including meetings and presentations with clients and developing proposals.
• Requirements and Qualifications
• Technical Degree in any Engineering speciality.
• Past experience in site inspection, code consulting, design of fire suppression & alarm systems, and/or developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment, although not mandatory, is a plus.
• Chartered Engineer or PE is desirable.
• Previous experience in the hospitality sector is a plus.
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
• Should be able to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges wanting to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.

Jensen Hughes has an opportunity for a Junior Engineer/Consultant, graduated in any engineering faculty to be placed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage a hospitality project workload across Southeast Asia and will report to Jensen Hughes Malaysia Hospitality manager. The successful candidate should enjoy frequent travel and client interaction as part of their work. This is a client facing role and therefore a solid technical understanding along with excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. In this role, you will be initially trained in Code Consulting, and Fire Protection System Design/Review.
