Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
- Coordinate seamlessly with the Talent & Culture Asia team on all hiring needs and processes, to build talent pipelines in line with headcount planning of CIB China.

- Payroll Administration:
- Handle payroll processing for Shanghai Branch in compliance with Shanghai social insurance, housing fund, and tax requirements, with approval review by HR Operations Manager of T&C Asia.
- Performance & Talent Development:
- Co-ordinate with T&C Asia on respective HR processes throughout the year, i.e. people assessment, performance evaluation, satisfaction survey, goal-setting KPI alignment, and compliance with "fit and proper" standards for key personnel.
- Support staff training on BBVA eCampus, and identify local training programs according to the needs raised in the branch, such as trainings related to banking operations, risk control, language training etc
- Support talent identification and succession planning for the branch
- Organizational Development and HR Strategy:
- Drive employee engagement aligned with corporate values. Support BBVA Values Day, Staff Satisfaction Survey and other staff engagement initiatives
- Support organization change on business growth, expansion, restructuring, etc
- Report HR metrics: Headcount, turnover, cost ratios, etc and other ad-hoc reports
- HR data analytics to support business direction, management decision and HR strategy
- Regulatory and Risk Management :
- Ensure HR operations meet the compliance standards of regulatory requirement in China
- Prepare HR documentation for internal/external audits;
- Contribute to risk-control self-assessments and other regulatory reports from HR perspective.
- Job Specifications
- Qualification & Experience
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- At least 5 years HR generalist experience, preferably within Foreign banking or financial services institution in China
- Familiar with NFRA/PBOC labor compliance and compensation structures in banking
- Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of PRC Labor Law, and financial sector HR practices in China
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Integrity, discretion, and awareness of confidentiality and conflict-of-interest protocols
- Cultural agility and the ability to navigate a multinational corporate environment
- Knowledge of using WorkDay HR system
- AI literacy, use of AI in HR field
- Language
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Spanish is a plus
