MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience that prepares the applicant to perform the duties of the position. Must possess or obtain (and maintain), within six (6) months of appointment to position, hazardous materials level training certifications through International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Pro Board Fire Service Professional Qualifications System Awareness, Operations, and Technician to perform containment, control, detection, and identification. Proficiency in these requirements is essential to maintaining this position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: GS-0089-11: Must have experience in the following: 1 year experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience developing, coordinating, and maintaining comprehensive emergency management plans Experience conducting comprehensive hazard, vulnerability, and program compliance assessments to identify capability shortfalls, analyze metrics. Experience designing, implementing, and instructing Emergency Management and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) training programs Experience managing, supporting, or directing operations within an EOC, including providing authoritative subject-matter expertise on incident mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery to Incident Commanders Experience establishing, maintaining, and overseeing CBRN Control Center operations Experience performing unit-level self-inspections or Staff Assistance Visits to evaluate programmatic compliance, develop quick reaction checklists, and implement quality improvement initiatives
