M&E Engineer/Quantity Surveyor

Job Description & Requirements Prepare and analyze cost comparison Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers Communicate with the management, contractors and sub-contractors on the adjustments to cost estimates Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments Conduct the negotiations during the course of the project in order to ensure issues are resolved Control project scope to meet project objectives in order to enhance project deliverables and key work activities Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved in accordance to building contract law Prepare the cost analysis for the project in order to ensure the overall value is enhanced Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules Prepare project organization and communication charts Chair site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures Liaise with own workers and sub-contractors for project execution Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database Prepare and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others Manage Site works related to M&E matters
