The Technical Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise software development platform initiatives across the organization. This role demands hands-on technical project leadership with a strong foundation in PMI methodologies, project financial management, and cross-functional coordination spanning multiple business verticals. The individual will partner with business leaders, development teams, analysts, and external vendors to deliver complex technology projects on time, within budget, and within scope-while maintaining clear, consistent communication with senior leadership. A working background in Employee Benefits is required, with particular value placed on experience supporting pharmacy management operations and medical/provider environments. How You Will Contribute: Lead the end-to-end delivery of software development platform projects, including architecture decisions, build/buy analysis, integration planning, and production deployment Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for the execution of multiple concurrent technical initiatives Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with business stakeholders, development teams, and technical leads, ensuring technical feasibility and strategic alignment Develop and manage detailed project budgets, including cost forecasting, spend tracking, variance reporting, and financial escalation when constraints require adjustment Build and maintain detailed project plans with milestones, dependencies, resource models, and critical path analysis Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using formal change control and verification techniques aligned with PMI standards Drive cross-functional collaboration across departments, business units, and subject matter domains - including areas outside direct vertical expertise-to ensure integrated delivery outcomes Measure and report project performance using appropriate tools, KPIs, and earned value management techniques Perform risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning; escalate to leadership as needed Establish and maintain productive relationships with third-party vendors, including contract performance management and deliverable accountability Licenses & Certifications: Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent PMI credential Skills & Experience to be Successful: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or Associate's degree with equivalent professional experience Minimum of five (5) years managing technical projects with hands-on experience leading software development platform implementations or modernization efforts Demonstrated proficiency with PMI project management principles, including formal budgeting, cost management, schedule control, and earned value analysis Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple business domains and organizational verticals, including effective coordination outside of primary subject matter expertise Working experience in the Employee Benefits industry Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to travel as needed to support corporate projects Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting pharmacy management, Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM), or medical/provider operations (preferred) Experience with enterprise data platforms, integration layers, APIs, ETL pipelines, or cloud-based development environments (preferred) Previous experience managing vendor-led or outsourced software development engagements (preferred) Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, HITRUST, and HITECH (preferred) Experience with portfolio-level project governance and demand management practices (preferred) Exposure to modern development toolchains and AI-assisted development environments (preferred) Pay Range $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
