BRAZIL & PARAGUAY COUNTRY CONTROLLER - VYLOR Purpose of the Role The Brazil & Paraguay Country Controller is responsible and accountable for overseeing Controllership activities for all Vylor legal entities in Brazil and Paraguay. This includes financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls. The role serves as the primary interface between the Controllership function and country/site leadership, as well as external authorities, and external auditors. The primary goal is to ensure that Financial Statements are accurate, compliant with both Local GAAP (BR GAAP) and US GAAP, and aligned with Vylor´s global policies, while ensuring a robust internal control environment, and providing critical financial insights to support business growth in the region. Financial Reporting and Accounting Accountable for: USGAAP Financial Statements Ensure financial accounting and reporting for all legal entities complies with USGAAP and corporate policies. Month-End Close: Lead the closing process, ensuring accuracy in revenue recognition, accruals, and expense management Provide guidance on accounting treatments and ensure timely closing and reporting for group accounts, including but not limited to accountability for all month-end close processes such as inventory closings, revaluation, remeasurement and translation, EGL exposure, IC Closing, UTP/RTP postings, etc Complete monthly reporting packages and other month-end close reporting requirements. Maintain an understanding of local entities' business and regulatory environments to ensure continued adequacy of accounting treatments and effectiveness of control environment. Identify and analyze any unusual variances in the Financial Statements Tax Coordination: Partner with the local Tax area to ensure compliance with Brazil's tax requirements Local GAAP Financial Statements Ensure compliance with local accounting standards. Manage audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely completion. Submit statistical information and other reports to local authorities such as e-invoicing, particularly the annual ECD (Electronic accounting) submission in Brazil Reconcile USGAAP to local books. Ensure any new local standards or reporting requirements, including but not limited to audit requirement coming from other functions such as eco taxes, grants, etc., are contemplated. Maintain a sound understanding of all reporting requirements, ERP systems, accounting master data requirements and flow of accounting data into business reporting. Internal Controls & Risk Management SOX Compliance: Maintain a robust internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors (e.g., Big Four) and internal corporate audit teams. Policy Governance: Ensure all business transactions follow Vylor's Global Accounting Policies and Code of Conduct. Governance and Compliance Represent the Finance function in matters related to country financials, internal controls, and governance. Ensure an effective governance structure and control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and Company's Internal Control Standards. Serve on the board of directors, if applicable, to provide financial oversight and governance.
