Analyst Private Debt - Internship

About the role

Sella Investment Banking (IB) is the division of Gruppo Sella dedicated to corporate finance. We support clients and the Group across a broad range of transactions, including M&A advisory, capital raising (private equity and IPOs), corporate bond issuances, debt structuring and leveraged finance We are looking for an Intern to join our team in Milan. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on live transactions alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• You will support the team across the execution of corporate finance transactions, working closely with an Associate and the broader deal team.
• In particular, you will:
• Contribute to the execution of transactions within your team, with a focus on M&A, leveraged finance or private debt depending on your assignment
• Carry out industry and company research, supporting investment and strategic analyses
• Perform financial analyses, including financial statement review, valuation and financial modeling
• Support the preparation of financial models, presentations and transaction materials (pitchbooks, information memoranda, internal documentation)
• Contribute to the assessment of risk-return profiles of potential transactions, including those involving the Sella Group
• Assist in internal approval processes and gain exposure to relevant committees

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field from a top-tier university
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
• Proficiency in English; international study or work experience is a plus
• Background in accounting, finance or tax
• Understanding of banking, financial regulation, capital structures and market valuations
• Previous experience or academic exposure to M&A, leveraged finance or transaction services
