Responsibilities

  • This position represents the plants in front of customers and suppliers when escalations occur, coordinates containment actions, and drives long-term standardization of quality processes and best practices across the Product Operations footprint.

  • Drive compliance with AIAG16949 and ISO requirements, acting as the plant representative during audits.
  • Lead and develop the Plant Quality Technicians, ensuring strong performance and growth opportunities.
  • Manage quality systems including warranty data, scrap data, compliance records, and customer concerns, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Reduce internal scrap by applying structured problem-solving methodologies and driving accountability with area managers.
  • Provide technical support to customers and suppliers, resolving product liability and quality issues.
  • Continuously improve the Quality Management System, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with ISO/IATF standards.
  • Required
  • Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering , Quality Engineering , Quality Assurance
  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Implementation and maintenance of a QMS - IATF 16949 (automotive)
  • Internal audit program leadership
  • Corrective & Preventive Action systems
  • Control plans, procedures, and work instructions
  • Preferred
  • Six Sigma (CI mindset)
  • Lean tools experience (Gemba, VSM, 5S, KanBan, TPM, SMED)
  • Core quality tools proficiency (FMEA, PCP, PFD, SPC, MSA, PPAP)
  • Financial acumen for operational decision-making
