*GOV* Cybersecurity Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cybersecurity solutions across cloud and on-prem environments (SIEM/SOAR, endpoint, cloud security, Zero Trust, vulnerability management)
• Perform installation, configuration, and administration of security platforms in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise environments
• Integrate security tools with log sources, identity systems, and monitoring platforms across hybrid cloud environments
• Analyse and troubleshoot security logs and events from multiple cloud and on-prem sources
• Lead technical onboarding of systems onto centralised cybersecurity platforms in cloud and hybrid setups
• Translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans, including cloud architectures
• Coordinate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver onboarding milestones
• Track onboarding progress, manage dependencies, and resolve technical issues
• Provide L2/L3 support, including incident investigation and root cause analysis across cloud environments
• Support testing activities including POC, SIT, and deployment validation
• Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
• Support release management, patching, and system upgrades across cloud and on-prem platforms
• Ensure implementations align with security policies, cloud security best practices, and compliance requirements
• Support audit activities, including evidence collection and remediation tracking
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance system performance, scalability, and security posture across cloud environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or platform engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/log analytics tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, ArcSight) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of security monitoring, system integration, and Linux environments
• Good problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting production systems
