About the role

JOB SUMMARY: As SLR continues to expand across the Middle East & Africa region, organically and through acquisitional growth, we are seeking a Communications Lead to support our regional ambitions by delivering strategic, high-quality communications that strengthen our brand, reputation and colleague engagement. This role will lead all internal and external communications activity for the Middle East & Africa region, ensuring alignment with both regional strategic priorities and SLR's global brand and communications strategy. Working closely with the Regional Managing Director and Regional Leadership Team, this person will act as a trusted communications advisor, supporting brand visibility and strategic messaging across the region. The role will be responsible for planning and delivering integrated communications campaigns, managing regional strategic events, amplifying SLR's brand through media opportunities and partnerships, and ensuring consistent, effective messaging across all channels. A key part of the role will also involve supporting acquisitional growth across the region, managing communications requirements for acquisitions and integrations to ensure a smooth transition for colleagues, clients and stakeholders while maintaining alignment with SLR's broader business objectives. This person will work closely with SLR's Global and Regional Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistency in systems, processes, ways of working and brand execution, while also identifying opportunities to strengthen SLR's profile across priority markets in the Middle East & Africa. The role requires a confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and work proactively across a fast-paced and evolving regional environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the Regional Managing Director and Regional Leadership Team to support the delivery of the region's strategic growth plans through effective internal and external communications. Develop and deliver the Middle East & Africa regional communications strategy, aligned to both global communications priorities and regional business objectives. Lead all regional internal communications activity, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged and connected to the region's strategy, priorities and leadership messaging. Manage all regional external communications activity, including media opportunities, press releases, leadership profiling, thought leadership and strategic brand visibility initiatives. Support the Regional Managing Director with executive communications, key messaging, presentations, speeches and stakeholder communications. Plan and execute integrated communications campaigns that support strategic priorities across the region, aligned with both global campaigns and local business needs. Identify and manage strategic media partnerships, industry opportunities and profile-raising initiatives that help strengthen SLR's brand and reputation in key markets. Lead the communications planning and delivery for strategic regional events, both internal and external, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and brand consistency. Support acquisition and integration activity across the region by managing communications plans for acquisitions, onboarding and internal alignment, while helping establish repeatable processes for future integrations. Collaborate closely with global communications teams to ensure alignment to systems, governance, brand standards and ways of working. Coordinate and disseminate relevant regional news and success stories across internal and external channels, including website, social media, intranet, events and leadership communications. Manage regional communications budgets where applicable and ensure maximum return on investment. Track outputs, analyse effectiveness and provide regular reporting on communications performance and impact to senior stakeholders. Manage regional communications team, currently one team member and likely to remain as such for the foreseeable. SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Strong experience in corporate communications, marketing communications or public relations within professional services, consulting or related B2B environments. Proven experience developing and delivering integrated internal and external communications strategies. Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working directly with senior leaders and providing strategic communications counsel. Experience supporting leadership communications and executive profiling. Exposure to acquisitions and integration communications within a growing business environment would be highly beneficial. Strong understanding of media relations, strategic events and brand positioning. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, diplomatically and with influence.
