Responsibilities

  • Clinical Transformation & Innovation
  • Lead the advancement of value-based, patient-centered care models
  • Drive care pathway redesign, access strategies, and site-of-care optimization
  • Expand digital health, telemedicine, and hybrid care delivery models
  • Support population health and chronic disease management initiatives
  • Business Development & Strategic Growth
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and execute growth opportunities and market expansion strategies
  • Support physician alignment, practice acquisitions, and partnership development
  • Provide clinical leadership for service line growth and network development
  • Represent the organization in business planning and strategic initiatives
  • Community Physician Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community and independent physicians
  • Strengthen referral networks and reduce outmigration
  • Represent Jefferson Health in regional and professional forums
  • Support the development of a high-performing, integrated physician network
  • Program Leadership
  • Provide oversight of key areas including:
  • Case Management & Utilization Review (LOS, throughput)
  • Residency programs at JEM
  • Acute Care Surgery and priority clinical programs
  • CMI and acuity optimization in partnership with HIM
  • Quality and patient experience initiatives
  • Financial & Administrative Leadership
  • Partner with administrative teams on budget development and financial performance
  • Participate in data analysis, benchmarking, and special projects
  • Align clinical initiatives with organizational financial and operational goals
  • Physician & Staff Engagement
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountability
  • Conduct regular leadership rounding with patients, staff, and providers
  • Ensure delivery of an excellent patient experience across all care settings

Requirements

  • MD or DO required
  • Board Certification in a clinical practice specialty required
  • Active Medical License in Pennsylvania
  • 3-5 years of p rogressive leadership experience in hospital or health system medical leadership
  • 3- 5 years e xperience in quality improvement, medical staff governance, and clinical operations
  • Demonstrated success in physician engagement, program development, and change management
  • Demonstrated e xperience or interest in clinical transformation, population health, or business development strongly preferred
