Senior Operations Officer

About the role

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the primary coordinator and executor of day-to-day division operations. . You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Operational synchronization, battle rhythm management, decision support, and operational oversight from an administrative management perspective. Daily tasks will include consolidating, drafting, and reviewing Situation Reports (SITREPS) with input from branch chiefs, ideal candidate has superior written and verbal communication skills and can proof products for coherence, department priorities, and clarity. Influence and negotiate with others, leading teams, and financial management across a program is essential. (EXPERIENCE MUST BE CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED IN YOUR RESUME) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
