The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department at Carnegie Mellon University is renowned for its interdisciplinary approach to solving complex healthcare challenges. The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Research Associate that will work with multi-modal data, acquired on humans with non-invasive optical, electrical, and ultrasound instruments, requires recruitment of human subjects. This position is meant to design, validate, and test on human subjects a novel NIRS sensor that allows for freely moving subjects. Optical sensing of the brain can be achieved by near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) systems. In order to achieve long term, every day measurements, a battery operated, flexible device is needed.
