About the role

You will join FLSmidth's Pumps, Cyclones & Valves (PCV) business line - a specialist team delivering OEM service, parts and technical support to the Australian mining and minerals processing sector.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair FLS pumps, cyclones and valves to OEM standard on customer sites and in the workshop
  • Attend breakdowns and planned maintenance activities, maximising equipment availability for customers
  • Conduct equipment inspections and audits, producing detailed photographic service reports with recommendations
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new PCV equipment across SA and interstate territories
  • Prepare, refurbish and test equipment in the workshop when not deployed in the field
  • Collaborate with PCV Service Engineers & Sales Managers to resolve complex technical issues and deliver quality outcomes
  • Champion safety compliance on every job - identify hazards, report incidents and uphold FLS safety standards
  • What you bring
  • Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter or equivalent) - essential
  • Demonstrated experience in a field service or maintenance role in mining or mineral processing
  • Hands-on knowledge of pumps, cyclones and/or valves preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong customer service and communication skills - you represent FLSmidth on-site
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate as required
  • High standard of physical fitness and an uncompromising approach to safety
