About the role
The Associate Director International Learning Oncology is a strategic partner to multiple Brand teams within the Oncology franchise and will assess and understand the learning needs of the organization to develop appropriate learning strategies and plans with their team members. The Associate Director is responsible for the collaboration with International Marketing, Areas, and Affiliates to create learning programs and capability development solutions primarily for new product launches, mature products, promotional or regulatory updates, and new hire training. They ensure the development of team members in International Learning and foster an inclusive culture. Primary Responsibilities Relationship Building/Stakeholder Management Ensure strategic efficiencies and synergies to maximize the value of oncology brands in the (assigned) disease areas, by designing learning curricula that position AbbVie's brands for success. Act as an expert in curriculum development aligned to brand strategy to deliver effective learning solutions for the asset with alignment between cross functional teams, their leadership and area/affiliate partners to ensure needs are met and value is delivered to brands with high impact integrated learning interventions. Align with cross functional leadership through General Manager level across TA to ensure alignment top-down including, but not limited to Training, Medical/ Clinical experts, Marketing, Sales Management, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, other AbbVie Groups and external vendor partners to ensure effective collaboration and optimal planning to meet needs Actively set mutual expectations with business customers and partners to ensure working relationships are constructive and productive. Build a sense of team within the learning organization demonstrated through mutual respect and support of peers and others. Demonstrate direct and open communication within the Learning Team and with all business partners and customers resulting in positive relationships and mutual understanding, respect and agreement. Strategy Roll-out Must be able to understand and work with multiple teams to execute International Brand strategy through tactical planning and development deliverables. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of all business partners/customers businesses, strategies, and priorities. Facilitate integration of learning deliverables into business planning and the actual business plans of Brand Teams. Adhere to and link learning solutions to defined brand strategies across all learning deliverables. Seek innovative solutions to capitalize on business opportunities and further engage the learner. Learning Leadership Ensure that materials and programs incorporate adult learning principles and instructional design principles. Demonstrate versatility, agility, and flexibility so that obstacles are overcome and expected results are produced. Ensure the quality, compliance, and relevance of the curriculum shared with the affiliate team learning leads. Increase effectiveness of team members through formal and informal development. Participate in and lead International Learning workstreams. Proactively seek opportunities to develop team members, or overall International Learning team performance to better AbbVie. Create and foster an inclusive team environment with an All for One AbbVie spirit. Experience in Oncology is preferred. Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products. Bachelor's Degree. Experience in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Education, or relevant job experience in related field. Minimum of 5 years of learning and instructional design experience. 10-15 years of combined learning, sales and marketing experience or related cross functional expertise. Experience leading team members directly or in an interim capacity is a plus Demonstrated strong leadership skills and competencies. Experience managing learning curriculums for multiple products Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills required. Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.
