Determines camera composition, angles and movement. Establishes set and background geometry. Creates basic blocking for all characters, props, along with temp elements such as lighting, crowds and effects. Creates sequences of shots that convey the storyline, ensuring the vision of the Director and Layout Supervisor are resolved. May create rough pre-visualization models, environments and effects to facilitate animation. Candidate is accountable for meeting schedules and show deadlines, participates in dailies, rounds and team reviews of work in progress. Interact with clients, production, supervisors and team/ peers in order to problem solve and share information related to show/ assigned tasks. Must be able to decipher as well as follow through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings/ notes and feedback as well as provide innovative solutions, often with live-action sensibilities and contributing ideas which elevate the creative direction to the screen. Candidates should be able to work efficiently as part of a team or independently to determine the various design solutions.
