Posted Job Title Major Gifts Officer / Sr. Major Gifts Officer, Penn Nursing Development Job Profile Title Major Gifts Officer Job Description Summary The Associate Director/ Sr. Associate Director, Major Gifts identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards individual and institutional prospects for the School of Nursing. The MGO/SR MGO plans, coordinates, and implements development efforts and works closely with many faculty and staff across the school. The MGO/SR MGO plays an integral role in a wide spectrum of fundraising responsibilities, including communication efforts, events, and volunteer/board management. Job Description Job Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 125-150 qualified potential donors with the capacity of making gifts of $250,000 or more. Includes developing long-term fundraising strategies for each assigned donor or identified prospects in the course of his/her work and in accordance with University priorities. Complete 120 donor meetings annually with qualified potential donors to engage, cultivate and solicit gifts in support of Penn. Solicit 12-15 major gifts annually, with the understanding that the first year may not reach this target Develop an understanding of the educational, research, innovation, and financial needs and goals of Penn Nursing. Speak passionately and authentically about the history, achievements, and strategic direction of the School, and have the ability to articulate that vision effectively to a diverse audience.
