Buyer (East/5 Days/Up to $5000)

Responsibilities

• Perform direct purchasing of production materials, spares, and components.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to communicate accurately with suppliers.
• Use SAP to create purchase orders, track deliveries, and update schedules.
• Ensure suppliers receive latest drawings and approved pricing; manage delivery schedules.
• Follow processes for ECN implementation, FAI coordination, and outstanding GR/IR follow-up.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and SCM to maintain inventory and recommend new suppliers.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by providing feedback to engineering.

Requirements

• At least 2 - 3 years of direct buyer experience , preferably in semiconductor or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with SAP and PLM systems (Teamcenter).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and part specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
