Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position. The Pima County Public Library is seeking a Librarian I for children's services at the Eckstrom-Columbus Library. The successful candidate will supervise and manage children's services at this branch, which will include developing and conducting programs for children and families, as well as performing outreach services. This library is in a vibrant and busy community and as the Librarian I at this location you will be generally responsible for providing reference services, maintaining community partnerships, being a person in-charge of the building, working with patrons to resolve issues, de-escalating tense situations that may occur with patrons, and assisting with handling emergencies. Along with expertise in children's services, bilingual skills are helpful at this location, as well as serving immigrant and refugee communities, and community members who are experiencing food insecurity and/or houselessness.
