The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO's Finance department invites applications for a full-time Settlements Analyst to join the team. The Settlements Analyst conduct settlements-related process analyses, custom settlements-related software testing procedures, and provide settlements-related process analyses to support settlement rules development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Perform various development functions to support market design including: Participate in development cycle for settlements-related processes, which may include participation in requirements and supporting analysis, user acceptance testing and algorithm validation. Perform various development functions to support departmental processes including: Perform settlements results validation Develop responses to customer inquiries Conduct settlements-related training for NYISO staff Perform analyses to support settlement rule and process development. Develop and deliver training presentations to market participants on settlement rules, procedures, and settlement system changes. Compile, store and retrieve management data to support process development functions. Perform periodic and ad hoc reports and analyses. Special projects as assigned.
