About the role
Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager/Supervisor. Administers restorative care treatments as determined by the interdisciplinary team. Documents restorative care in EMR and monitors CNA documentation when they provide restorative care to residents.
Responsibilities
- Maintains appropriate medical records for each patient. Documents restorative care in EMR. Monitors for compliance in documentation of CNA's providing restorative care.
- Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
- Performs restorative care programs outlined for each resident as determined by the interdisciplinary team. Provides feedback to team. Utilitzes opportunities to coach staff on restorative care and safety techniques.
- Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
Requirements
- Education
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Restorative nursing experience (Preferred)
- Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
- First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
