Mechanical Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review machinery specifications and ensure compliance with technical requirements
• Interpret classification rules and engineering standards for vessel construction
• Support design development for ship machinery spaces and equipment layouts
• Work with designers and vendors on piping system schematics and equipment installation plans
• Coordinate interfaces between major ship systems including engines, propulsion and auxiliary systems
• Participate in 3D modelling activities for vessel design and production planning
• Generate material take-off lists and installation details for piping systems

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipyard or marine engineering environments
• Familiar with ship machinery systems and piping networks
• Experience with engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, valves, and piping components
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering software tools
• Strong analytical and communication skills
