The Clinical Development Educator is a key member of the Patient Care Services management team responsible for coordinating and delivering educational programs that support the clinical development of nursing and assistive staff. This role ensures staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to provide high-quality patient care through onboarding programs, continuing education, and simulation-based learning. The educator collaborates closely with nursing leadership and supports ongoing professional development and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evaluate orientation and onboarding programs for clinical staff
  • Conduct educational programs, workshops, and competency-based training
  • Perform gap analyses to identify learning needs and prioritize development initiatives
  • Develop and coordinate simulation-based learning experiences and evidence-based scenarios
  • Facilitate continuing nursing education and support licensure and certification requirements
  • Deliver and support AHA programs, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS instruction
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support staff development
  • Monitor unit-based competencies and coordinate skill assessments for new hires (including LNAs/CNAs)
  • Lead Transition to Practice programs for novice nurses
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and integrate improvements into future programming
  • Maintain expertise in adult learning principles and innovative education technologies
  • Who You Are / Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (or currently enrolled in a Master's program) required
  • Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive education and/or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and clinical education methodologies
  • Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Ability to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs and outcomes
  • Experience with simulation-based learning and educational technologies preferred
  • Specialty certification preferred
  • AHA instructor certification (BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred)
