About the role

This position is located on one of three shifts in the West Point Mint, Office of Production, Plant Engineering Division. The position performs installation, maintenance, trouble analysis, rebuilding, overhauling, modifying, aligning and calibrating of integrated electronic equipment, electrical systems (computer, security and fire systems, data lines) and machinery used for numismatic coin production and packaging. PHYSICAL EFFORT Assignments require moderate physical effort with the incumbent lifting, carrying and handling items (tools, materials, equipment, etc.) weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally lifts items in excess of 40 pounds and assistance is usually available with heavy items. Work involves standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and crouching. May work in sitting position for extended periods. May work from ladders, scaffolds, platform lifts and hard to reach places.
