Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Supervising Social Worker to join its client's established and highly regarded Independent Fostering Service in the West Midlands area on a 1-year fixed-term, part-time contract. This opportunity is with an outstanding Ofsted-rated Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) known for its long, proven history of supporting Looked after Children and Young People to achieve fantastic outcomes within a creative staff team environment. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will manage a realistic caseload, allowing you to focus on providing guidance, training, and support to foster carers and the children/young people in their care, ensuring high standards of service delivery. What will your responsibilities be? In this role, you will: Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, enabling and monitoring their practice and ensuring their compliance with regulatory standards. Be involved in the recruitment, training, and ongoing supervision of Foster Parents. Work in partnership with children, young people, and foster parents, as well as local authorities and stakeholders, regarding safeguarding and child protection matters. Promote the welfare of children placed within the service across the West Midlands area. Qualifications & Experience: To be successful in this role you must have: Social Work England registration and a qualification in Social Work at degree level or equivalent. Previous experience as a supervising social worker or working with foster parents/family placement work. A sound and comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant fostering legislation, child care law, safeguarding issues, and related publications. A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle. Eligibility to work in the UK.
