Flex APP HSS Orthopedics Now - 48 Hours

Responsibilities

• HSS' main campus is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City, with additional facilities across NY, NJ, CT, and FL. For more information, please visit www.hss.edu.
• Job Summary
• The HSS Orthopedics Now program provides consistent, immediate access for patients 12 years and older with an undiagnosed musculoskeletal injury or sudden onset of pain to be triaged, receive an initial diagnosis, and if appropriate, quickly connected to the right subspecialized level of care.
• The HSS Orthopedics Now Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) sees patients at an HSS location to triage, diagnose, treat, and when needed, refer patients to a higher level of care in an expedited timeframe.
• Bone, joint, or muscle injuries
• Strains, sprains, minor dislocations, and closed fractures
• Painful, swollen, or injured joints
• Back and neck pain
• Osteoarthritis (OA)
• Pediatric injuries (12 years of age and older)
• Sports Injuries
• Steroid injections and joint aspirations
• General bracing and splinting
• The Flex APP for HSS Orthopedics Now will be expected to provide planned coverage at our program's sites across the regional locations. Coverage planning will be made in advance of anticipated shifts. There will be expected travel to HSS' regional locations.
• JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) NPs/PAs are committed to personalized, high-quality healthcare and are held to the same legal and ethical standards of care as physicians and surgeons.
• Nurse Practitioner:
• Obtains/Maintains NP licenses in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut
• FNP Required
• Obtains/Maintains board certification as a NP in specialty area of practice
• Experience with injectio

Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Variable (United States of America) Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $187,898.88 - $204,886.38. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
