About the role

You will serve as a Student Intern (Information Technology) at the GG-04 grade level responsible for receiving on-the-job training pertaining to work of information technology by observing, learning and applying basic information technology rules, procedures and/or operations. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for the GG-04, you must meet the following required education level: Completion of 1 academic year (30 credits) of post-high school study or have an associate's degree. All educational requirements for this position must be met by June 30, 2027. Program Completion and Conversion: Interns may be converted at the discretion of the agency to a permanent position (or, in some limited circumstances, to a term position lasting 1-5 years) within 120 days of successful completion of the program. To be eligible for conversion, Interns must: Be a U.S. Citizen Complete at least 160-320 hours of work experience acquired through the Student Internship Program Complete their degree requirements Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the Intern will be converted Perform their job successfully NOTE: Students who convert to a permanent position may be eligible for a Recruitment/Relocation or Student Loan Repayment Incentive as the discretion of the agency.
