About the role
The UCF Lockheed Martin College Work Experience Program (CWEP) is a program housed in UCF Career Services. This position directly supports the recruiting and marketing efforts for CWEP. For over 40 years UCF and Lockheed Martin have partnered to offer this program that allows undergraduate and graduate students to gain real-world work skills and abilities relevant to their academic and career goals. CWEP is a unique, year-round paid opportunity to have hands-on learning experiences. This position/classification may be moved at management's discretion within the SSWB division to a commensurate level position as determined by the Vice President of Student Development and Enrollment Services or their designee.
Responsibilities
- Program Coordination & Recruitment Support:
- Provides program support for the UCF Lockheed Martin College Work Experience Program (CWEP) by reviewing hiring requisition requests, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, communicating offers, and managing applicant tracking system processes and HR transactions.
- Conducts interviews with current and former CWEP participants to gather feedback and assess interest in recruitment initiatives.
- Onboarding & Compliance:
- Coordinates and processes orientation and onboarding requirements, including verifying and notarizing required documentation.
- Reviews background checks and drug screen results to ensure compliance and accurate onboarding of CWEP students.
- Payroll & HR Operations:
- Assists students with timekeeping and serves as the CWEP payroll timekeeper.
- Submits and manages CWEP requisitions in Workday and supports contract policy clarification, internal transfers, and related HR matters.
- Records Management & Data Integrity:
- Creates and maintains program records, including student files, pay rates, orientation documents, and onboarding checklists.
- Updates and maintains active CWEP student rosters and ensures consistency between UCF and Lockheed Martin systems.
- Student & Stakeholder Support:
- Serves as a primary point of contact in Career Services for prospective and current CWEP students.
- Responds to calls and emails, meets with students and visitors, and provides information on programs, resources, and services.
- Outreach, Marketing & Engagement:
- Markets and promotes the CWEP program through social media, presentations, and collaboration with Career Services.
- Develops and distributes marketing materials, including flyers and digital signage.
- Builds and maintains relationships with campus partners, student organizations, and CWEP alumni to support program growth.
- Events & Program Promotion:
- Assists with CWEP and Career Services events and participates in campus outreach efforts to promote program expansion and engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .
- Experience in higher education
- Two or more years of experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with databases or student/HR platforms such as Handshake or Workday.
- Experience working independently, supervising staff, and collaborating with self-directed teams.

- Special Instructions to the Applicants:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $42,367- $51,899. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
- Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
- This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
