About the role

You'll play a key role in supporting the month-end accounting process and maintaining strong financial controls across the Group. Responsibilities will include: Preparing balance sheet reconciliations across multiple group companies. Processing payroll journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals. Supporting the month-end close process. Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Investigating and resolving accounting queries and reconciling items. Producing KPI and management information reports. Analysing overhead expenditure and supporting management reporting. Assisting with audit requirements and finance projects. Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting. About You This role would suit someone currently working as an: Accounts Assistant Finance Assistant Assistant Accountant Assistant Management Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career. We're looking for someone who: Has strong attention to detail and enjoys working with numbers. Is organised, reliable and takes pride in producing accurate work. Has good Excel skills and is comfortable working with data. Wants to learn and develop their accounting knowledge. Enjoys taking ownership and responsibility. Is studying towards, or interested in studying towards, AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualifications. Previous experience of reconciliations, journals and month-end processes would be advantageous but attitude, aptitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
