SCHEDULE 3rd Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM JOB SUMMARY Responsible for machine operation and crew in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine team to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Material Handler 1 and Light Equipment Operator 1 and 2 as required. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Production: Monitors performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed and issues are communicated to Supervisor. Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed. Crew Leadership/Training: Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members. Quality and Waste: Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Make adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and take steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles. Communication/Record Keeping: Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
